Two workers died and one was injured as a result of an avalanche during construction works of a bridge at Kvareli-Lagodekhi highway in the vicinity of Mtisdziri village, Kvareli district of eastern Kakheti region.
Two middle-aged men died at site, while the third slightly injured was taken to Kvareli regional hospital. His health is out of life-threatening condition.
Representatives of Rescue Service and Patrol Police were called at site.
The construction works were headed by Myth Company. Investigation will determine whether or not security measures were ensured.
