Gia Kavtaradze, Georgia's Deputy Energy Minister resigned from the position. He released a statement through news agencies.
"I returned to public service due to my wish to support my friend Kakhi Kaladze (Minister of Energy). Unfortunately, there is no end to purposeful and groundless campaign against the minister. Questions arouse regarding my work period as Minister of Justice during 2005-2007. I am ready to answer all questions," reads the statement.
According to the statement, Kavtaradze does not want to disturb Kaladze's activities and that the campaign is artificial.
