Tbilisi Appeals Court has nullified four of ten rulings of the Tbilisi City Court on the cases of former Constitutional Security Department officers, who were arrested with the charges of abuse of duties and illegal confinement. According to the ruling, six ex-officers remain in prison, while four were bailed out.
The appeals of former director of the CSD Levan Kardava, also Zaal Maisuradze, Elmanoz Ebanoidze, Aleksandre Botsvadze, Vakhtang Bochorishvili and the former chief of operative-technical department of the MIA Beka Kvaratskhelia have been left in custody under pre-trial detention. While Giorgi Javakhadze was released against 10,000 GEL, Giorgi Kavlashvili - 15,000 GEL, Vasil Jamalashvili - 3,000GEL and Avtandil Solomnishvili - 5,000 GEL.
