Georgian government calls upon the Israeli government to launch investigation of the incident tied with the bás-relief of Shota Rustaveli in Israel. Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Davit Jalaghania announced at the briefing today that Georgian authorities have sent official letters to the interior ministry of Israel, Israeli Knesset, mayor of Jerusalem to investigate the fact of vandalism in time.
The administration of the Patriarch of Georgia published a special statement regarding the damage of the Rustaveli bás-relief yesterday. The vandalism occurred a few days ago.
