Severe weather conditions with heavy snowfalls and freezing temperatures have hit central Europe. Serbia and Croatia have reported several deaths and at one point more than 600 people had to be rescued from their snow bound cars. One woman gave birth in a heated lorry after being transferred there from a stranded ambulance.
