Georgian president continues his visit to the United States. In Los Angeles, Mikheil Saakashvili attended a Global Conference organized by Key Milken Institute in Beverly Hills. The event was sponsored by famous companies Chevron, Kaufman, News Corp, Blumberg, Deutsche Bank and Starbucks.
The 2010 Milken Institute Global Conference attracted business leaders, academics and policy makers to discuss financial regulation, the economic recovery and other issues. The governor of California, Arnold Shwartseneger and famous tennis star, Andre Agassi were also attending the event.
Mikheil Saakashvili delivered a speech before the audience and spoke about the challenges that Georgia is facing today. He also revised the Georgia-Russia war, its consequences and the economic situation in the country.
After the conference Mikheil Saakahvili held meetings with the heads of famous corporations including Mr. Cloobeck, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Resorts, Paul Fribourg, the CEO of Continental Grain Company, David Bodemman, the founder of PPG and the president of Harrah`s Entertainment Gary Loverman.
At these meetings Georgian president tried to convince the listeners that Georgian investment environment was attractive for business sector.
Later today, Mikheil Saakashvili will arrive in Washington and attend the event organized by the Atlantic Council, where U.S. president Bill Clinton and a pop-star Bono will be awarded with special prizes.
