Commission
working on illegal surveillance issues conducted its final meeting. Members
of the commission listened to working group’s activity report, discussed and
endorsed a draft bill on “making amendments in Criminal Code of Georgia” about
respecting and protecting private life.
Major
part of video footage referred to political parties, party leaders and
officials, public figures, social activists and different public servants
having opposing or different political views from former state authorities. “All
above stated can be labeled as systemic crime,” – mentioned the announcement
released on MIA’s website, reports GHN.
Commission
working on illegal surveillance issues has taken decision to send considerable
part of materials to Chief Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation. Remaining
footage that feature intimate scenes, include unidentifiable persons and also damaged
materials will be subject to immediate destroying.
