President
of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili accompanied with Secretary of National
Security Council Irine Imerlishvili and Chairman of Defence and Security
Committee Irakli Sesiashvili were the guests of the Tserovani Rehabilitation
Center yesterday.
Currently,
10 military servicemen wounded in combat operations and international missions
and their family members are undergoing rehabilitation and relaxation course at
Tserovani Rehabilitation Center. According to its description, the center is
well equipped with relaxation conditions and infrastructural objects, reports
GHN based on MOD information.
The
President and Chief of General Staff met the military and personally got
acquainted to the accommodation conditions and infrastructure of the complex.
“At
Tserovani Rehabilitation Center we met those people who devotedly served
homeland and unfortunately, suffered trauma. We met their family members as
well. It’s very essential that our country should care these people for their
great courage“– stated President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili.
„Currently, military servicemen wounded in
August War 2008 are undergoing rehabilitation here with their family members.
Their rehabilitation is very important for us, as it’s a part of care we can do
for our wounded military. Being here is also very essential for the soldiers as
relaxation with family is a great rehabilitation for them“– outlined Major
General Vakhtang Kapanadze.
President’s
former Tserovani Residence, currently a Rehabilitation Center is under the
patronage of Defence Ministry of Georgia which started working on January 9.
This year
Defence Ministry plans to equip the buildings located in the Center with the
necessary infrastructure adapted for the physical requirements of the heavily
injured military. In 2015 sport complex will be built for the wounded military
servicemen and their family members at Tserovani Rehabilitation Center.
