Some inmates have
been taken to Kutaisi Intervention Medical Centre and Kutaisi clinic from
Geguti prison late at night. It is reported that no force has been used by law enforcement
administration against the prisoners. As the doctors say the inmates have self
inflicted injuries, though their lives are not in danger. According to InterpressNews the inmates have been
on hunger strike for several days, demanding the prison director’s resignation.
