A Russian TV Company Ren TV has aired a long reportage about Georgian police. The anchor of the weekly analytical program Nedelya [The Week] has revised reforms carried out by Georgian government in the police structures.
According to the reporter, despite the sharp criticism of the government from Georgian opposition, every political party admits that Georgian government led by Saakashvili has succeeded in combating corruption and developing police structures.
The narrator has also interviewed Georgian Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili, who reviewed reforms conducted by the government in the law enforcement structures. Minister emphasized the high confidence of Georgian citizens to Georgian police.
