Georgian Parliament Speaker Davit Bakradze will chair the state commission, which will plan and control the burial of late Georgian poet, Mukhran Machvariani. The ministers of health care and culture are also members of the commission.
The poet will be buried on Mtatsminda Pantheon on Saturday beside Iakob Nikoladze. The civil funerals will be held in the Saint Trinity Cathedral on Friday. The Tbilisi government will cover the expenses of the burial ceremony.
Mukhran Machavariani died in the age of 81. On May 17, the poet was attending the 85-th jubilee event of the poet Pridon Khalvashi. The poet was delivering a speech on the stage at Rustaveli Theatre, when he fell down with a sudden heart attack.
