Opposition election bloc the National Council has presented its vision of economic development for Georgia at the Tbilisi Marriot today. The event was organized by the Open Society Georgia Foundation and the Research Centre of Economic Policy. The two foundations have launched this program, which allows all political subjects to introduce their economic visions to the society.
One of the members of the National Council, Aleksandre Shalamberidze said their project covered their visions about Tbilisi budget and the taxation policy for local governments.
National Council members believe that the drafting of the Tbilisi budget should be built on 25 municipalities and it should include all problems, which are topical for the residents of these municipalities.
`We also believe that trade relations should be restored with Russia, which will be a very serious progress in the resolution of the problem of employment,` Shalamberidze said.
Within the project, all other political parties will be able to present the plans of economic policy to the society.
