On April 29 on May-2 in Brussels in Bastion Tower was held the presentation of the project ‘Europe meets Georgia', which was presented by the European Georgian Society EUGS and EU-Georgian, Abkhazian and Ossetian International Movement EUGAO in front of European experts, partners and analysts.
Presentation was presided by the President of the EUGS, Ana Rekhviashvili.
It is the first Georgian initiative with such an ambition in the capital of European Union.
The mission of bringing Georgia closer to the European communities with practical agenda of concrete initiatives is in the heart of the strategic initiative.
it should be noted that one of first projects of "Europe meets Georgia" is the basis of the Georgian cultural center in the capital of the European Union.
The core aim of the project is to promote Georgian cultural heritage, cuisine, traditions, and Georgia as the touristic destination for the wide international community of Brussels and the European Union. The cultural centre in Brussels is among the important projects of the main strategic project ‘Europe meets Georgia' is an umbrella of the initiatives, which will be realized on the basis of the cultural and community centre in Brussels. It will include the restaurant as well as space for the events - exhibitions, talks, meetings.
It is the first Georgian initiative with such an ambition in the capital of Europe. Dissemination of information about current affairs in Georgia and raising awareness of Europeans about the country is a very important task for the developing, EU integration-oriented Georgian civil society.
The consortium of the EUGS, the EUGAO, and another organizations will act of a coordinator of ambitious and growing Georgian SMEs and civil society organizations. It will provide the platform for independent projects implementation by the Georgian civil society, business and other groups.
The European-Georgian Society EUGS will announce it's new strategic plan and projects during the special presentation in Brussels on 19-20 of May.
