Last year such meeting was initiated by the Georgian side. This will be the first formal meeting of three Defence Ministers in Azerbaijan. These meetings and the agreement aim to start planning how these three countries and armed forces will protect the communication infrastructure in critical situations and how we are going to protect our railway infrastructure, oil and gas pipelines in case of military escalation. I would like to underline that the only purpose of our meeting is to regulate security and defence issues and it is not directed against anyone. Moreover such meetings provided additional basis for regional security," declared Defence Minister before departure. In the framework of the visit Defence Ministers will also meet with the Chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly Vasif Talibov.
