Georgian President cast his ballot at the local self-government elections on Sunday. He arrived at the 19th polling station in Zandukeli Street with his wife. Mikheil Saakashvili said he is very contended with the ongoing elections and finds this voting the most democratic that has been ever held in Georgia so far.
`I am very glad that these elections and the Election Day are going on very calmly without any excesses. Little violations take place in every country, but, as I have observed, these are the best-organised elections we have ever conducted so far. The Central Election Commission has done a great work in the independent conditions. This time, the absolute majority of the political forces have demonstrated more political maturity and talked about more specific issues`, Saakashvili said.
