CEC Spokesperson Julie Giorgadze announced voters` turnout as of 17:00. According to the latest data, a total of 1432897 voters (40.42% of the electorate) have cast ballots for local municipal offices, Mayor of Tbilisi and parliamentary by-elections. The data have been provided to the CEC by 73 election districts.
Especially high turnout of voters was in Mtatsminda, Saburtalo, Chughureti, Nadzaladevi and Gldani districts of Tbilisi; also in Adigeni district of Smatskhe-Javakheti Region, where 62 percent of voters has already cast ballots.
67 percent of voters has cast ballots in Aspindza district of Samtskhe-Javakheti Region. The turnout was especially high in Gori, Tsageri and Lentekhi towns. No serious violations have been recorded by the CEC so far.
