One of the oldest historical villages and its unique architecture is not under danger of destruction - with the initiative of Irakli Garibashvili the restoration works of the monument has begun two month ago and is going on intensively, reports GHN.
The leader of the government will visit Mutso today August 27 and will observe restoration works together with the Minister of Culture and head of the Agency for Cultural Heritage Protection.
In Mutso there is already installed the equipment that will allow to carry building materials on rocks on the tough rehabilitation object.
The rehabilitation process in carried out using traditional materials - the massive slate stones are extracted in this region.
For the working groups there were built living cottages, administrative building and dining car. For the workers is also available medical service. Mobile generator is working in 24 hours regime that will be replaced with permanent electro station from 2015 that will work for whole Mutso. With the decision of the meeting of the government August 26 the electrification of Mutso will be financed fully and the works will end in one year.
In Mutso lives only one family already four years. Nugzar Daiauri who returned together with his wife and children to abandoned by ancestors Mutso is involved in the project. The Prime Minister will visit the family of Daiauris to receive information about the situation.
About the initiative of rehabilitation of Mutso the Prime Minster stated June 10.
As Irakli Garinashvili explained on the first stage there will be stopped the process of decomposition and will begin the restoration of destroyed towers. The project will last three years. After the end of the project Georgian will have completely restored Mutso with proper infrastructure.
