The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia was informed by the representatives of the "Alliance for Georgia" that Zaza Kakabadze -the member and activist of their political alliance was murdered. It was established the investigation was already launched regarding the mentioned fact by Tbilisi Police Main Division of the Ministry of Interior. On May 30 of the current year, as a result of operative-searching activities the members of criminal gang have been detained, namely: Tariel Alikhanashvili (DoB 1993) Mariam Manukian (DoB 1993) Giorgi Kiknadze and (DoB 1990). The detainees are suspected of committing premeditated murder of Zaza Kakabadze which was previously convicted for drug abuse. On the charges of concealing the mentioned crime Mamuka Mamuchishvili (DoB 1973) and Eduard Egizarov (DoB 1988) were also detained by police.

Detainees have pleaded guilty. As a result of searching activities conducted in the apartment owned by Tariel Alikhanashvili the weapon of murder was detected. Investigation is conducted by the employees of Tbilisi Police Main Division of the Ministry of Interior under the articles 108, 236 and 375 envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
