"Mutso- out pride, unique stronghold-city, that was called as guard of Khevsureti and Georgia, more than half a century waits for renewal and I am happy that we begin rehabilitation of Mutso," stated the Prime Minster of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili while visiting Mutso, reports GHN.
The leader of the government attended the process of rehabilitation and talked to the head of single family that lives on Mutso.
Irakli Garibashvili explained to Nigzar Daiauri that the most damaged stronghold-houses will be restored till the end of the year.
As the Prime Minister stated during 15 years the monument was destroying permanently and was in most critical condition between the monuments of Georgia, though government found financiers to make rehabilitation of Mutso.
He thanked to Nugraz Daiauri, who together with his family lives in Mutso and is single protector of the monument.
"Our government shares responsibility of survival and preservation of cultural heritage. These monuments are part of world culture and it is our duty to keep them not only for our future generations but also for whole humanity as model of oldest culture," stated the Prime Minister. With the information of the leader of the government there is planned to arrange electro station next year that will be permanent source of energy for Mutso from 2015.
"On the meeting of the government yesterday we took decision regarding building electro station that will end in one year and there will be electro energy here. We also talked about telephone connection to implement proper transmitting antennas and I hope that mobile companies will be involved in this project," stated Irakli Garibashvili.
The Prime Minister is sure that after restoration this historical side will be more attractive for tourists and also the project will help the process of returning back of the population.
"We have begun restoration works. Till the end of the year and tough winter period we will be able to perform the first works. We invited the best specialists to keep the original face of the monument. The quality should be high in accordance to international norms," stated the Prime Minister to journalists.
He also said that Nigzan Daiauri is exemplary Georgian for him. "I was very glad when I knew that Mr. Nugzar brought his relatives too. Also several families are going to return back after the end of restoration of Mutso. We arranged living houses for the workers of rehabilitation works, here is medical service too and also equipment that will help to carry building materials. This is historical project, this is century project and we and our future generations will be proud of," said the Prime Minister.
He also underlined that 600 historical monuments were restored with the financing of Bidzina Ivanishili.
"I am happy that today have possibility to continue this patriotic undertaking," added Irakli Garibashvili.
