Georgian president will arrive in France later today after the three-day official visit to Romania. Mikheil Saakashvili is expected to discuss political and economic issues at the meeting with the president of France Nicolas Sarkozy.
New economic projects and intensification of political cooperation with Romania were the issues, which the president has already discussed with the host president and other authorities. Romanian president said he was sure that Georgia would become the member of the NATO even without MAP and that the country would become a significant strategic partner in the region. In addition, Georgia will join new energy projects becoming the energy partner of Europe too.
In Bucharest, after the end of the official meetings, Georgian president was hosted by the prefect of Constanza, where Mikheil Saakashvili viewed the 8 kilometre long line of the seaside resort. President recollected his visit to Constanza five years ago and spoke about the development of tourist infrastructure in Georgia`s seaside resort of Batumi.
