The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maja Panjikidze gave a speech of annual meeting of chiefs of diplomatic representations. The Minister discussed the main tasks of the foreign politics of Georgia and thanked Romania and Romanian diplomats for the support of Georgia, reports GHN.
"I want to thank ambassadors that attend here. Georgia always used to feel your support especially is area of European Union and Euro Atlantic countries. It is very important for us because European and Euro Atlantic integration is the main priority of Georgia. I use the opportunity and also thank Romanian Parliament- Romanian parliament was one of the first which made ratification of the Association Agreement with Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine," stated the Minister.
The Minister said that support of friends and partners of the way of implementation of Association Agreement is very important. "Integration into European Union is the will of Georgian population that gives to the government more motivation to make important steps in this direction, to make reforms that will bring benefit our country and population. The European agenda is the priority for internal politics of Georgia," stated the Minister.
In her speech the Minister talked about relations with Russia, also about situation in region. Maja Panjikidze in her speech underlined the role of European Union in solving existing conflict with peaceful ways. She thanked Romania that is represented in the mission of monitoring of European Union.
After the speech Maja Panjikidze answered the questions of Romanian diplomats. At the end of Ambassadorial ministers of Romania, Georgia and Moldova held joint press conference.
In the frame of working visit in Romania the Minister will held meetings in the Senate of Romania and in the Chamber of Deputies.
