September 2 the President of USA Barack Obama begins European tour and will visit Estonia. After this he will travel to Great Britain and will attend NATO Wales Summit. The statement about the tour was made by chief of National Security Council for European Affairs Charles Kupchan, reports GHN.
"In common the agenda of the tour takes into account three important points. One - answer to Russian actions in Ukraine by helping Ukraine in spheres of politics and security, also support in the frame of NATO by strengthening joint efforts on the territory of alliance as outside of the territory of alliance," stated Kupchan.
Other two points is connected to the end of ISAF mission in Afghanistan also to the role of NATO for providing with security on the continent.
The main part of Obama visit will be held in September 3 in Tallinn where he will meet the presidents of Baltic countries. The same evening Obama will visit Great Britain. There is planned meeting with the Prime Minister David Cameron and after this Obama will take part in NATO Summit. The subjects to be discussed on Summit are Afghanistan and Russian aggression against Ukraine.
