The new law created new reality in Georgia; concretely it brings new regulation in visa politics of Georgia. It is important not to create impediment for entry of foreigners that can play positive role in economic, demographic, social and cultural development of country. That's why while working on the law the main priority of the government of Georgia was to represent such kind of balanced approach. New law towards visa politics and immigration processes expresses common attitude in the country and determines that rules and norms that aims to provide with legal entry and stay of foreign citizens defending rights and freedom guaranteed by the constitution of Georgia and also defending internationally recognized principles and norms. Putting these regulations in line with visa liberalization action plan of European Union will support creation of the frame of European legislative, regulative and institutional standards. It will help Georgian government to avoid migration stream or will help to significantly reduce it; at the same time will provide with implementation of effective, active and targeted politics.
