On the 2nd of September 2014 the Georgian Foreign Minister, Ms Maia Panjikidze held an introductory meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr Samat Ordabaev. The meeting was held within the framework of the political consultations between the Georgian and Kazakh Foreign Ministries due to be held on the 3rd of September 2014, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
The sides discussed topical issues regarding the bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan emphasizing the high level of partner relations between the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the need to deepen cooperation between the two states with focus on the prospects for the further development of cooperation.
The Kazakh Deputy Minister reaffirmed his country's support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The sides also discussed multilateral and regional issues and exchanged views regarding the ongoing processes in the world.
