The majority of the Parliament prepared the resolution concerning Ukraine.GNN offers the text of the resolution without changes:
"Georgian Parliament once again indicates on the statement of December 11, 2013 and on the approach developed in 2014 March 5 resolution. With the data of authoritative international organizations and western partners Russia not only supports, arms and finances active separatist forces of southern-eastern Ukraine, but also realizes undisguised military aggression against neighbor, sovereign state.
We see perspective of further escalation of tensions and prospect of large-scale military confrontation that creates danger for regional and international peace and stability.
Especially alarming the growing number of victims among civilians, number of homeless people and increase of flow of refugees.
In spite of warning calls on international level and negotiations produced in a variety of formats, Russia violates internationally recognized law and principles, as it happens from 2008 August till today towards Georgia.
According to mentioned above the Parliament of Georgia
1.Once again expressed solidarity to the government and people of Ukraine. Shows strong support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
2. Fully supports the position of the government of Georgia concerning the crisis situation in Ukraine and also effort to help Ukraine.
3. Condemns aggression towards sovereignty of Ukraine that is not only against international norms and principles but also makes irreversible the process of escalation of combat actions, that will bring catastrophic results for common European security, causes humanitarian crisis and violates human rights.
4. Calls on Russian Federation to abandon any attempt to solve any kind of political or economical disagreement by using force and supports effort of international community and government of Ukraine to solve crisis using the way of negotiations.
5. Calls on international community to use all the resources to stop combat actions and aggression on the territory of Ukraine with the way of de-escalation of tension and solving humanitarian problems.
6. Calls on NATO and European Union to take effective measures to strengthen security of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova for acceleration of integration in common Euro Atlantic system," read the resolution of the Parliament.
