The President of Georgia today met the president of Reconstruction and Development Bank of Europe Suma Chakrabarti. The sides discussed the existed relations between Euro bank and Georgia and talked about permanent support for development of economics of the country. They also talked about tendencies and challenges of economics of Georgia and also about those projects that are implemented with the support of Reconstruction and Development Bank. While talking they also touched priority directions of the economics of the country. Giorgi Margvelashvili stated that there is need to deepen relations with international financial institutes, with EBRD between them, reports GHN.
"I am glad that perennial collaboration between Georgia and EBRD develops successfully. I believe that economic development of the country and reforms will be continued on the bases of bilateral relation," stated the President of Georgia.
He underlined the importance of holding EBRD annual meetings in 2015 in Georgia, especially when such kind of meeting will be held first time in Caucasus. The sides stated that it will be good possibility to show advantages of the economics of the country, to grow attraction of business space and to attract investments.
Georgia is the first reformer country in Euro Bank region. We are happy to support the economic development of the country and strengthen potential of economic growth in long term perspective. Stable economics and predictable business space is important for growth of local and foreign capital investments. The assignment of Association Agreement and deep and comprehensive free trade agreement with European Union and its ratification will strengthen the potential of the country. We will collaborate with the government of Georgia to create stable economic future of the country," stated the President of Euro Bank Suma Chakrabarti.
As the President of Georgia stated the development of small and medium business is very important when Georgia signed Association Agreement with European Union that gives possibility of free trade with European Union. Giorgi Margvelashvili thanked Suma Chakrabarti for the effort that the organization shows for regional and global integration of Georgia. At the end of the meeting the President made record in EBRD honored guest's book. The meeting was attended by the President of National Bank of Georgia Giorgi Kadagidze, advisor of the President of Georgia in economic and international issues Giogi Abashishvili and Tengiz Fkhaladze and the chief of the administration of the Presdient Davit Pataraia.
