The NATO Summit has begun with the meeting of international mission in Afghanistan. Together with the President of Georgia the meeting was attended by the Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Alasania and chief of General Staff General Major Vakhtang Kapanadze, reports GHN.
On the meeting leaders of NATO member and partner countries discussed achieved results of ISAF mission and support of the Alliance after 2014 year. The leaders of the NATO member and partner countries that participate in ISAF mission expressed readiness to be involved in the mission after 2014 and to help national forces of Afghanistan.
The President of Georgia delivered speech on the meeting of ISAF mission countries. Giorgi Margvelashvili once again thanked NATO Secretary General for the support on the way of integration of Georgia in Alliance. The leader of the country paid attention to the role of Georgia in ISAF mission.
