The speaker of the Parliament met the rapporteur on Georgian issues in Euro parliament Andres Mamikin, reports GHN.
On the meeting Andres Mamikin stated that the aim of his visit in Georgia to be informed about democratic reforms, condition of human rights and media and also condition on occupied territories. After the learning and analyzes there will be prepared report for Euro Parliament.
The speaker of the Parliament thanked European guests for learning such an important subject for Georgia. He stated that Euro Parliament plays important role for Georgia to reach its aim and that after signing Association Agreement relations between Georgia and Euro Parliament went on as new stage of relations. Davit Usupashvili talked about relations between Georgia and Latvia and marked that Latvia was the first country that made ratification of the agreement and that Georgia has active collaboration on parliamentarian and state levels with this country.
On the meeting the speaker of Parliament touched the situation of human rights, freedom of media, business space. At the end of the meeting Davit Usupashvili expressed hope that after deep learning of the subject there will be prepared the report that will be useful for our country and on another side will give our European colleagues full information about situation in Georgia. The meeting of the speaker of the Parliament and Euro parliamentarian was attended by the chairman of Committee of European Integration Viktor Dolidze.
