President's trip on UN General Assembly will damage image of the country, stated the Minister on European and Euro -Atlantic Integration Alex Petriashvili. As Petriashvili said the Prime Minister delivers speech on UN Assembly and accordingly he should the head of the delegation, reports GHN.
"My attitude is similar to the attitude of the government. The Prime Minister will be the head of the delegation; he will deliver the speech on UN General Assembly. General Assembly is main event that's why I think that the delegation of Georgia should be represented by one leader and this leader is the Prime Minister of Georgia. I consider that trip of the President in the frame of this event is not right, because it will damage foreign image of the country that's why I think the exactly the Prime Minister have to go on UN Assembly. I respect the constitution of Georgia, but more I respect our country and take care of its international image. I would like the President to behave this way," stated Patriashvili.
We remind that the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will deliver speech in New York on UN General Assembly.
