On September 15-21 Batumi will host bird watching festival. As Adjara tourism department stated Black Sea shore, Batumi surrounding, villages of Khelvachauri and Kobuleti municipality is narrow corridor of birds of prey; this is area counts more than 1 000 000 migratory birds, reports GHN.
"Because of this fact these places take third place in the world and are interesting for observation of bird migration. It is know with the name "Immigration Corridor of Eastern Black Sea". After autumn birds from Scandinavia, Russian forests and Central Asia, more than 35 species of migratory prey, flies to the direction of Southern Africa through this corridor. The unique topography and climate of this region gathers big number of birds in this area," informs Tourism Department of Adjara.

First day (September 15)
• 11:00 - opening ceremony of the festival
• 15:00- observing of birds from Black Sea shore
• 19:00- conference in hotel
Second day (September 16)
• 6:00 - observing birds from surveillance places
• 15:00 - observing birds from village Sakhalvasho
• 20:00- conference in hotel
Third day (September 17)
• 6:00- observing birds of prey from Colkheti marsh
• 12:00- observing birds from Ispani marsh
• 19:00 -conference in hotel
Fourth day (September 18)
• 7:00 - observing birds of prey near Batumi botanical garden
• 14:00 - travel in Mtirala national park
• 20:00 - conference in hotel
Fifth day (September 19)
• 7:00- observing birds from Petra stronghold
• 16:00 - meeting with different organizations and discussions around chosen themes
Sixth day (September 20)
• 6:00 - trip to western Georgia (Kutaisi, Tskaltubo)
Seventh say (September 20)
• 7:00 - observing birds from surveillance places
• 16:00 - summarization of the results of festival, final ceremony
• 18:00 - closing ceremony of the festival and evening party for the festival participants
