With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection, Modern Art Museum of New York MoMA from September 23 there will held large scale retrospective of Georgian films. There will be held press conference in the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia on September 11, at 13:00 by the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection and director of National Film Center Nana Janelidze, reports GHN.
In New York Modern Art Museum there will be presented 45 Georgian films: old silent films, Soviet classic and modern films. "Century Project" work in progress for nearly 25 years. Such kind of large scale retrospective was held in Paris in Pompidou Centre in 80s of 20th century. In parallel regime the films will be shown in Washington and Berkeley. The organizers of Georgian movie days are - Modern Art Museum of New York MoMA, California University -Berkley, Pacific Films Archive.
The supporters of the retrospection from Georgia are: the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia; Embassy of Georgia in USA; National Film Center, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
