The government will begin the implementation of this agreement.on the first day after the Association Agreement with the European Union enters into force, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk said, answering journalists' questions during the Eleventh Annual Meeting of Yalta European Strategy (YES) in Kyiv, on Saturday, September 13.
"The agreement will be ratified. It will take effect. The government will make implementation of this Agreement on the first day after the Agreement enters into force. No one will wait for anything," Yatseniuk said.
He said the European Union "did what it did six months ago", "The European Union market is open to Ukraine. They supported by this the Ukrainian economy."
"Russia wanted to change the text of the Agreement, to prevent Ukraine from ratifying it and to make the EU to abandon the Agreement. It has failed," Yatseniuk said.
"Now it depends on Ukraine whether after ratification of the Agreement we implement and execute each item. We are ready to do it," the head of government said.
