From today September 15,772 medicaments will be added on the list of drugs that will be sold without prescription. As the Minister of Health David Sergeenko stated while talking with journalists the list of medicaments that can be issued without prescription is not final and can be changed, reports GHN.
"Not every reform is ideal, we admit we did have faults and such kind of changes is always followed by dissatisfaction. I don't think that delaying of this project by one or five years would avoid problems," stated Sergeenko.
As he stated making changes in the list of medicaments without prescription was offered by the Association of Pharmacists.
The following medications were added to the list of medicaments without prescription: antivirus, ophthalmological medicaments, ear drops, dermatological anti-inflammatory and antibacterial medicaments, vitamins and injectable medicaments; also medicaments that influence of metabolic processes; hepatoprotective medicaments; biogenic medicaments, antifungal medicaments.
We remind that due to the changes in the law about "Drugs and the Pharmaceutical Activity" the great majority of medicines no longer available without prescription from September 1.
