The political parties, which made a political alliance around the newly emerged opposition leader a year ago has collapsed - Alliance for Georgia led by Irakli Alasania no longer exists. Alasania announced at a political talk show yesterday that the Alliance member parties were moving on a new regime of cooperation.
He said these parties passed a very interesting political year together and that this one year brought serious experience to Alasania. The leader of the alliance says he and his allies summed up the year of their cooperation and those problems, which did not turn out successful for them.
`The greatest problem was one - we failed to form a political machine in the way we had planned,` Alasania said and added that all member parties decided to strengthen individual political resources.
He said the member parties would work in coordination with one another but it would not be a regime of an alliance. As for next elections, these four parties plan to take new decisions regarding cooperation.
The Alliance for Georgia consisted of the New Rights Party, Republican Party, Georgian Way and the Free Democrats - United Georgia.
