The Georgian Foreign Ministry hosted a business delegation from Lithuania including representatives of energy, business consulting and investment companies. The Lithuanian businessmen were brought up to date with the business opportunities and investment climate in Georgia. Representatives of the Georgian Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture, Business Development Agency, Co-Investment Fund, Partnership Fund and Georgian Investment Agency provided respective presentations for the Lithuanian businessmen, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
With the goal of getting acquainted with investment opportunities in the area of infrastructure, the Lithuanian business delegation held meetings with respective services of the Tbilisi City Council. "Georgia and Lithuania have very strong relations. The main reason of why we are here is that quite recently we had the same problems as Georgia is facing now, for example in the education system, as well as in the areas of water supply and infrastructure. With the passage of time, we managed to resolve these problems and now we'd like to share this experience with Georgia. We are committed to help Georgia in making an effective use of the assistance it receives from the EU Partnership Foundation" - Latus Bukuta, a representative of the MD Project Company said.
Meetings with business delegations of various countries are regularly held at the Georgian Foreign Ministry, at the initiative of the International Economy Department. Georgian Foreign Ministry officials have already acquainted business groups from India, Austria, Japan and other countries with the business climate in Georgia. Similar meetings are planned to be held with representatives of business communities from South Korea and Germany.
