Russia is using the ceasefire to regroup its armed forces in eastern Ukraine.
European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule said this during a debate in the European Parliament on the situation in Ukraine in Strasbourg on Tuesday, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
He said that Russian troops were still in Ukraine and that the Russian armed forces were using the ceasefire to regroup.
He noted that a flow of fighters, weapons and other military equipment from Russia to Ukraine continued through the part of the border not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.
Fule said that in such circumstances, the EU would provide full and constant support to Ukraine and would continue to exert pressure on Russia.
