Head of the Military Gendarmerie of Poland, Major General Miroslaw Rozmus paid a three-day official visit to Georgia. Chief of the Military Police Department of the Georgian Armed Forces hosted his counterpart, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Defense.
Minister of Defence of Georgia Irakli Alasania held meeting with the Polish Military Gendarmerie delegation today. Bilateral cooperation and the future prospects were discussed during the meeting. Head of the Polish delegation met Chief of General Staff, Major-General Vakhtang Kapanadze. After meeting Major-General outlined the significance of the visit of the Polish Military Gendarmeries to Georgia. "This visit was held for the first time in Georgia. We projected future plans. The most part of our future cooperation refers to the improvement of Georgian military police. We sounded an idea that the platoon of the Georgian Military Police Department to involve in International Police Battalion located in Poland". The Polish delegation also visited National Training Centre "Krtsanisi", IV Mechanized Brigade of the GAF and Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy. Major General Miroslaw Rozmus held meetings with the leadership of the military institutions and got acquainted to the ongoing process and development plans.
