Georgian police have arrested an organized group of swindlers. One of the four women was the founder of Fortune Travel Tourist Company. They were selling counterfeit Schengen visas by the Embassy of France to Ukraine.
As a result of operative-investigative activities jointly conducted with Prosecutor's office, the members of criminal group were detained: Manana Iluridze (DoB 1966) Irina Esvanjia (DoB 1964) Qetevan Tchelidze (DoB 1963) and the founder of "Fortuna Travel" agency, Nora Butchukuri (DoB 1946). The mentioned persons manufactured forged Shengen visas for 4000 EU. As a result of searching activities conducted in Fortune Travel agency and the apartment owned by Nona Butchukuri, police detected the forged passport with Shengen visa and 11 000 EU received through criminal activities.
In connection with the mentioned case French Embassy to Georgia is actively involved in the process of investigation. Investigation is conducted by Patrol Police Main Division of Tbilisi and Mtskheta-Mtianeti under the article 362 envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
