After the collapse of the National Council, an election bloc consisting of several opposition parties, political experts are expecting to see a new opposition merger soon. The leader of the Movement for Fair Georgia, Zurab Noghaideli arrived in Germany, where he holds negotiations with another former official, fugitive minister Irakli Okruashvili, arguably regarding formation of a new opposition union. Reportedly, the director general of the Maestro TV Company, Erosi Kitsmarishvili and another opposition leader, founder of the movement Protect Georgia, Levan Gachechiladze are also attending the negotiations.
Noghaideli and Okruashvili have already drafted a three-point document, which calls upon the opposition to unite.
Conservative Party has already announced that they will not join the union founded by two former authorities, though they do not hesitate to cooperate with the parties, which were the members of the National Council. The election bloc National Council has been officially recognized dissolved in accordance with the Georgian electoral legislation.
