A closing ceremony dedicated to accomplishment of the course "Managing Defence in The Wider Security Context" has been held at Sheraton Metekhi Palace today, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Defense.
Deputy Defence Minister Tamar Karosanidze and the British Deputy Ambassador Jon Geddes opened the ceremony. They emphasized the importance of the program and congratulated participants with successful completion of course. Defence and security sector senior and middle level executives from Georgia, as well as from Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Bosnia-Herzegovina attended the training course. The course was sponsored by the UK Ministry of Defence SSIO Scheme and was held for the fifth time in Georgia. The course was delivered by Cranfield University in partnership with the UK Ministry of Defence's Defence Academy College of Management and Technology. At the end of the two-week course, the participants were granted certificates.
