Rosselkhoznadzor banned import of five large batches of beef to annexed Crimea from mainland Ukraine, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
The Rosselkhoznadzor press service informs.
Rosselkhoznadzor says that all meat batches were attempted at being imported without mandatory markings on the meat blocks, which would testify to the product's origin.
"In the back of one of the vehicles, a plastic bag with labels was found. In addition, in the back of a truck, a package with the liver was found without accompanying veterinary documents. In the fifth truck, among 19.7 tonness of meat blocks that were declared as beef, inspectors found 14.5 tonnes of pork, which accounted for three-quarters of the cargo," a statement reads.
According to the press service, over one evening, four trucks with beef by almost 20 tonnes each arrived in the crossing point Perekop, which came from Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
Inspectors made acts and ??more than 80 tonnes of cargo were returned back.
