Two-day heavy rains have caused flood in the remote Region of Svaneti. The swollen rivers demolished bridges and damaged roads, isolating twelve villages from the rest of the province.
Some of the isolated villages have been even disconnected from the electricity network as the flood damaged the system. Local administrations work in the state of emergency; rescue brigades work to avoid incidents.
Reportedly, the level of the river Churbula exceeds the norm with 2, 5, meters.
