Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has formed a delegation for participation in the 69th UN General Assembly session, which takes place in New York, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
A respective order has been placed on the website of the head of state.
The Ukrainian delegation will be headed by Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, whereas Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Yuriy Serheyev will be his deputy.
Other members of the delegation include Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsia, Deputy Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaly, etc.
To ensure the work of the delegation Poroshenko approved its directives - they were added to the text as "secret," and Klimkin was also allowed to attract advisers, experts and technical staff.
The financing of costs associated with the participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the UN General Assembly should be ensured by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
As reported, the 69th session of the UN General Assembly opened in New York on September 16 to discuss a number of global problems - from Ebola epidemics to terrorism.
On September 24, U.S. President Barack Obama will address the General Assembly, and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is expected to deliver his speech on the next day. This will be Poroshenko's first appearance at UN headquarters.
