The Western policy on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia is short-sighted, because it is based on a false hope that the Russian aggression will not get to NATO's borders, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
Director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Valentyn Badrak told a press conference.
"The West hopes that all conflict (between Ukraine and Russia - Ed.) will be resolved before NATO's borders, this is its poor judgment," Badrak said.
According to the analyst, the West chose the palliative policies that it will not step aside completely from helping Ukraine, but did not want to get involved in an armed conflict with Russia.
According to Badrak, the U.S. will not give Ukraine weapons. In this context, he recalled a statement by President Poroshenko that Ukraine protects Europe, and Europe is one step away from the global war.
"These are not just words, it's actually a clear conclusion, as evidenced by recent events," the expert said.
