United States Deputy Secretary of State William Burns met the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of "Eastern Partnership" countries. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze participated in the meeting. William Burns and the Ministers of Eastern Partnership discussed the situation in region, events of Ukraine and also challenges that face "Eastern Partnership" countries and developing of collaboration with European Union, reports GHN.
Today in the frame of the working visit in New York the Minister of Foreign Affairs held meeting with Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, Eurasia and the Caucasus Victoria Nuland. The meeting was attended by the ambassador of Georgia in USA Archil Gegeshidze, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Eric Rubin and White House Senior Director for European Affairs Charles Kubchan.
The American side showed interest in the development of the process of implementation of Association Agreement. The sides also talked about NATO Wales Summit and about the special package that was given Georgia. There was discussed the issues of implementation of the decision. The sides talked about regional security issues and relations with Russia.
