President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that he will come to Donetsk after the local elections that will be held December 7, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
He told this at a press conference "Strategy 2020," answering questions of reporters.
"I am sure it may take place immediately after the local elections. A key position and a guideline - the elections to be held December 7, as it is said in the law. And when Donetsk elects a legitimate local head, who could represent the interests of Donetsk residents, I will meet him with pleasure," Poroshenko said.
He also added that no earlier visit to Donetsk is planned, "because, still there is no one to meet there, but if it was necessary, believe me, this would have been done."
At the same time, the President reminded that he visited Donbas "before the elections."
