The Head of the Emergency headquarters, established according to the Prime Minister's directive and the Chairman of the State Security and Crisis Management Council Mindia Janelidze, together with the representatives of the Ministries of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Internal Affairs and the local authorities visited the disaster-damaged facilities in Ozurgeti Municipality in order to eliminate the consequences of the disaster. The River Bzhuzhi level has decreased in Village Shemokmedi, reports GHN based on the Press Service of the Prime Minister.
The rehabilitation work is underway. Equipments are mobilized. At the same time, calculation of damage has been started. The special commission, established in the municipality, will discuss the allocation of compensation. The roads have been damaged in Shemokmedi, villages of Lanchkhuti and Chokhatauri. Despite of the protection barriers on the shore of the River Bzhuzhi, the flooded river has damaged the road anyway. Strengthening of the barriers and recovery of the road are underway. The water reservoir has damaged in Shemokmedi, which disrupted the water supply to the population. The problem is partly solved and will be fully settled in several days. By this time, the electricity supply to the population is restored. The area around the school is being cleaned. Education process is expected to be restored tomorrow. After inspecting the damaged facilities, meeting was held at the municipal building. They discussed the most problematic issues for population, including the damaged agricultural plots.
