Former Prime Minister of Italy Enrico Letta will be delivering a lecture today at Tbilisi State Univeristy "Ivane Javakhishvili" at 4pm. He will be speaking about the future of European integration and the challenges currently facing the European Union. The event will be attended by Ministers, representatives of the diplomatic corps, academics and students. Enrico Letta, 48 years old, was Prime Minister of Italy from April 2013 until February of this year. In the course of his political career, he has also been Minister of EU Affairs (1998-1999), Minister for Industry (1999-2001), Member of the European Parliament (2004-2006) and Undersecretary to the Prime Minister (2006-2008). He holds a PhD in European Law from the University of Pisa and has published several books on the subject of European integration.
