The President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili met the chief of UN Development Program (UNDP) Helen Clark. The sides discussed different issues, among them the economic development of the country, the situation on occupied territories and about necessity of the humanitarian aid for the population who lives beyond artificial borders. It was marked that this is important people to have possibility to relate with each other. While talking there was underlined the role of UN concerning solving the conflicts in the frame of Geneva negotiations, reports GHN.
There was talking about importance of inclusive economical development and about reducing inequality of income distribution. As Helen Clark stated that Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement creates possibility for growth of investments in Georgia. Giorgi Margvelashvili and Helen Clark also discussed the mechanisms to attract foreign investments. There was also discussed creation of jobs, reducing unemployment, development and promotion of new agricultural opportunities. Helen Clark visits Georgia in the frame of official visit in south Caucasus countries.
