Two persons have been killed near School No. 57 in the Kyivsky district of Donetsk as a result of a shell explosion, citing the city department of education, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
"The shell exploded a few meters from the building, the school's windows were smashed, but children were not injured. However, two people who were at the epicenter of the explosion were killed," the department said.
As reported, classes in schools began in Donetsk on Wednesday, October 1, despite intensive shelling. The shelling is particularly intensive near the airport, which is adjacent to the city's Kyivsky district. Eight people have already been killed there after a shell hit a bus stop on October 1.
